There's Magic Out There: Central Library Play and Learn

Central Library Play and Learn

Wednesday bright and early off we went to the Enchilada (central library) for our first play and learn there. We heard that it would be different than at Forest Hills so we wanted to give it a try. We have been to the central library many times and love it because the children section is adorable (check out the awesome artsy cow). My munchkin loves the kid friendly computers and reading area. We didn't know what to expect but we ended up having lots of fun!

We started off with a playful game of "Ants pants" which has you guessing under which pair of pants (different colors) are the ants? Good for color recognition and fun for the kids.

We read a short story and then went off to do activities. They set up a water area with tubs and easels with letter magnets, small shape/buttons to sort with trays and soft letter boxes that open up with an object of that letter, sensory bottles and craft table with fish cutouts/glue sticks/paper/shades of blue strips. We did all the activities except water tub fun because I didn't want to carry wet clothes home on the bus or trolley (I know my son so better safe than sorry).

We loved it and will be back next week on Wednesday to keep on learning through play. These classes are continuing this month at the central library every Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:20 am. Hope to see you there!
